A street just off Piccadilly containing two contrasting offices by Erno Goldfinger and Peter Moro. Nos. 45-46 was designed by Goldfinger as a speculative office development, actually two separate buildings. It is built in reinforced concrete with Portland Stone facing, a deference to the historic nature of the street. Less “in keeping” is No.41, a tall design combining offices and showrooms for the Hille Furniture company, by Peter Moro. The concrete construction is covered by a curtain wall finish of black aluminium framed windows. The interiors were originally fitted out by designer Robin Day, now largely removed.
